Application:HSS has tungsten, molybdenum, chromium, vanadium and other alloying elements, with a white metallic luster.

Hardness after Heat-treated :HRC63-70.

With good toughness and strength and good workmanship, can withstand greater impact, easy to sharpen to get a sharp edge, but poor heat resistance, can only withstand a temperature of 600 ℃, so can not be used with high-speed Cutting.

HSS is particularly suitable for the manufacture of a variety of complex structure of the shape of the turning tool, threaded tools, drills, reamers and so on. High-speed steel can be used for milling, planing, drilling and other cutting processes, usually used to cut a variety of hardness of metal materials, such as cast iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminium alloy, etc.

HSS turning tool has the advantages of high-precision machining, high service life, but the cost is relatively high, and there is a large vibration and noise.
